What can I do with my hair with a straightening iron?

I saw some vids on youtube on how to curl your hair and how to add curls to the end of your hair with a straightner. So, I want to know, what else can you do with a straightner to make your hair pretty, other than straighten it? Maybe pictures and vids would be good. I curl my hair all the time with a straightener but i can honestly tell you you cant tell the difference between a straightener curl and a curling iron curl , they both look cute
